FAITH AS SEEN THE BALLET

For this project I took two texts with no obvious connection and connected the two in an introspective book. I connected my journey with faith, God, and Spirituality to a biography about the life of Edgar Degas.
PROCESS:
I used two unifying type and design systems to refer to each text. For the text referencing Degas’ life I used a sans serif system while the text that referenced my life, I used a serif. I wanted to connect two seemingly different typefaces and did this through color and layout. I also combined images of Degas' works as well as personal photos from my life to unite the texts and ideas.
