I had the honor of being a featured artist in Funsize's Big Little Print Show. The show's theme was based on food and each artist's unique connection to it. I grew up a picky eater and wanted to pay homage to the meals that helped me break out of my picky eating habits. I illustrated the specific meals that opened my eyes to how exciting new meals can be.
PROCESS:
I wanted to create a dynamic composition to highlight how dynamic food can be. The final composition has a lot of movement to add to the composition. After illustrating all the meals, the design felt unbalanced and incomplete so I added the type "try something new" to encourage viewers to join in my journey of trying new foods. I also tucked in "New" to the meals and hid it in the composition to mimic my discovery of food.
